Holly Pollet is no stranger to Orange County or the petrochemical industry. After moving to Southeast Texas 14 years ago, she landed a job at Chevron Phillips Chemical. Now, she’s made a major career move overseeing a multi-billion-dollar budget for Golden Triangle Polymers, the new petrochemical facility under construction in Orange County, Texas.
Originally from Arkansas, Holly and her husband, Brandon, a maintenance superintendent at Golden Triangle Polymers, settled in Orange in 2010. Their two daughters, now in fifth and eighth grade at Orangefield ISD schools, keep the family busy with their passion for sports – basketball, volleyball and softball.
"We're a sports-loving family, and we're also big LSU fans," Holly said. "Brandon went to LSU, so we try to catch as many games as possible."
In addition to her professional and family commitments, Holly also dedicates her time to serving the Orange community. She's on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Orange County, an organization that provides weekly meals to eligible elderly residents.
"It's important to give back," Holly said. "Meals on Wheels makes a real difference in the lives of our seniors."
Currently, Holly's focus is on preparing Golden Triangle Polymers’ financial systems for the plant's start-up in 2026. Golden Triangle Polymers is a joint venture company owned by Chevron Phillips Chemical and QatarEnergy.
"It's a complex process, but it's incredibly exciting," she said. "CPChem has been a fantastic owner company, providing all the necessary administrative support. My role will be primarily focused on plant and manufacturing accounting, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth start-up."
When asked about what excites her most about working with Golden Triangle Polymers, Holly's answer is clear: "The challenge. This is a chance to learn and grow in a whole new way. And being part of such a significant project for our community is incredibly rewarding."
With her deep industry experience, commitment to community service, and passion for embracing new challenges, Holly’s experience and dedication make her a valuable asset as Golden Triangle Polymers prepares for its future.
