OCWCID#2 & GTP

Golden Triangle Polymers has entered into an agreement with the Orange County Water Control & Improvement District #2 (OCWCID#2) to provide potable water for its facility currently under construction in Orange County, Texas. As part of this agreement, we have contributed funding to upgrade the wastewater treatment facility.

Golden Triangle Polymers has agreed to pay for all construction, engineering, and other fees associated with the permitting and construction of the new wastewater treatment facility and tertiary wastewater treatment plant. The site will include an administrative office, on-site lab, generator, digester modifications, and Sequencing Batch Reactors with blowers.

The new SBR (sequencing batch reactor) system will be installed in the Spector lot, adjacent to existing water treatment tanks, and will replace all current water treatment systems on the property. The new wastewater treatment plant will include: a new Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) unit with blowers, administrative office, on-site lab, generator, and digester modifications. The SBR system will replace all current water treatment units on the property and increase the permitted capacity from 1.22 million gallons of water a day (MGD) to 1.52 MGD. See a full map of facility upgrades here.

Construction began in June 2024. Initially, there will be a transition period during which both the old and new systems are used, but full integration of the new system is expected by Spring 2026.
