What Is Local First?

Local First is a community program that aims to place the Orange County and Golden Triangle region first when sourcing suppliers, vendors, and workforce for our project. We are collaborating with several community organizations to develop programs that will help area workers and businesses see and compete for available opportunities.

Golden Triangle Polymers launched Local First in March 2023 with a $400,000 donation to Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas and Orange County.

Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas

Golden Triangle Polymers donated $200,000 to Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas to expand workforce development efforts in the Golden Triangle region. An online job database was created to highlight the seven companies working on the Golden Triangle Polymers Project.

Orange County

Golden Triangle Polymers donated $200,000 to Orange County to manage the Local First program for the small-business community. Orange County will work closely with the Orange County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the three Chambers of Commerce located in Orange County.
